Classical Homeopathy according to Hahnemann's Organon (1811) orients itself based upon the so-called drug picture to determine the appropriate remedy. This method of remedy determination is called a 'Proving'. The key principle of homeopathy is known as Simile Principle : Similia similibus curentur. (Likes that may be cured by likes). The clinical syndrome occurring in a patient can be overcome by an artificially induced similar disease. Homeopathic remedies stimulate the body's defenses in order to restore health.
